2024 GBD On-line Halloween Gingerbread-Smackdown
We’re absolutely buzzing to declare that Lori Maas is the reigning champ of Gingerbread-By-Design's Halloween Gingerbread-Smackdown, winning for the second year in a row!
This year, Lori’s ghostly gingerbread house didn’t just turn heads—it haunted them into voting, snagging a spooktacular 51% of the total votes! Hats off to you, Lori; we can’t wait to see what other sweet (and possibly spooky) creations you whip up next.

The gingerbread house used a Gingerbread by Design template called Heidi's Gingerbread house. All handmade and all edible. Windows made of Isomalt with cello sheets in each window. Dragon body is made out of Rice Krispy treats, fondant, and pulled isomalt. Trees are made out of gingerbread dough. Grave stone are also gingerbread. Isomalt eyes are inside the caldron. Royal icing grass and fondant roof.
The haunted house was invaded by a mysterious flying dragon. The dragon is now in charge!
